Bernd Nonnenmacher, the managing director of the park, explained that bears, lynxes and wolves live in natural enclosures, far from the cramped conditions in Zoos. The team is also planning a new rescue mission for bears from Ukraine next spring.

The animal rights activists also shed light on how important it is to preserve bears and other wild animals in their natural environment, since many of them come from breeding for outdoor projects, but often from poor attitudes. Recently even bears were successfully brought to Germany via the Ukraine rescue mission, which underlines the urgency of this task.
