Schwäbisch Gmünd remains a pioneer in fair trade with new fair-o-mat!

Schwäbisch Gmünd. The city has taken an exciting step towards sustainable nutrition! In the entrance area of the town hall there is now a brand new "Fair-O-Mat", a snack machine that only offers fair snacks such as bars, gummy bears and chocolate. Citizens and employees of the administration can now buy fair products on site. This innovative project is the result of a cooperation between the Office for Sustainable Development, Climate Protection and Citizen Participation and the Weltladen Schwäbisch Gmünd and received financial support from the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development

But that's not all! Schwäbisch Gmünd has been certified as a Fairtrade city since 2012 and is actively committed to fair trade. Fair traded coffee is served in municipal council meetings, and a decision ensures that fair products are also used in the administration. The city is entirely committed to social and ecological consumption, and you can tell! Numerous shops and gastronomic businesses offer fair goods, and the "Gmünd for tomorrow" campaign weeks bring the topic to the public.
