New in Meißen: The Weißer Elefant porcelain café will soon be opening its doors!

A new jewel shines in Meißen: The “Porzellancafé Weißer Elefant” is preparing for its grand opening! The words on the facade promise more than just a place to sit - this is intended to be a real experience! Shatana Zangieva, the new tenant with an exciting career, is already busy preparing the cozy café with 36 seats. An unmistakable scent of freshly brewed coffee will soon waft through the Görnische Gasse and the atmosphere will invite you to linger!

The busy Shatana Zangieva already has the necessary approval from the authorities, but the final license to serve wine and cocktails is still pending. “I can hardly wait to welcome the guests here!” she explains full of anticipation. Their extraordinary journey took them from Russia to Germany and back, with gastronomic stops ranging from a canteen at Porsche to a chocolate factory. When she discovered the city of Meißen, she immediately knew: “I want to create something of my own here!” The beautiful, historically renovated facades have captured your heart.

An exciting offer for guests

The café will provide a breakfast menu and fine delicacies such as coffee, tea, cakes, salads and sandwiches according to your wishes. Despite the limitations of the kitchenette, Shatana finds creative ways to delight guests. In the basement of the listed house, where beer barrels used to be stored, she is planning events that combine art and cuisine. “The café will be a meeting place,” she looks ahead.

The anticipation in the neighborhood is palpable. The porcelain café could become a meeting place for Meissen residents and tourists, especially during the Görnische Christmas. Here the seductive scent of freshly brewed coffee competes with the aromas of mulled wine! The old town hall, now revitalized with art and gastronomy, has the potential to put Meißen even further on the map - a new chapter in the historical environment!
