New candidate for Ravensburg: Honikel-Günther wants to become mayor!

Big ambitions in Ravensburg! Andreas Honikel-Günther, the 50-year-old first state official and deputy district administrator in the Ravensburg district, has applied as a candidate for mayor! “I submitted my application on Thursday,” he explained enthusiastically on Friday. His strong connection to his hometown of Ravensburg is obvious. “My daughter defined home as Ravensburg, and that clearly reflects my attitude to life,” he says with passion and wants to actively shape the future of his city.

A path to new challenges

Honikel-Günther emphasizes that his candidacy is not directed against his responsibility as first state official. “I work very well with District Administrator Harald Sievers,” he assures. With his extensive experience, especially during crises such as the corona pandemic and the refugee crisis, he has made a name for himself as an excellent communicator. More applications for mayor will be open starting November 10th, and the election is coming up on December 16th!

As First Mayor, he will lead important issues such as social issues, schools and city marketing. His vision? A clear connection to his previous work, especially in immigration and through his numerous contacts in the region. The tension is increasing as to who will take over from Blümcke, who was recently elected mayor of Friedrichshafen and will soon take office. The race for the mayoral election is in full swing in Ravensburg!
