Successful title heroes”: 170 graduates celebrate their IHK milestone!
Beaming faces characterized the atmosphere on Friday evening in the Pforzheim CongressCentrum when the Northern Black Forest Chamber of Industry and Commerce celebrated a total of 170 successful graduates. Under the motto “Cover Heroes”, attention was drawn not only to the individual achievements of the participants, but also to the increasingly important role of qualified specialists in the labor market. The celebratory event honored the determination and skills of these young people who successfully completed IHK advanced training between spring 2022 and spring 2024.
In her opening speech, IHK Managing Director Tanja Traub emphasized the great opportunities that arise from sound training. “The need for well-trained specialists continues to be enormous,” she emphasized and warned the graduates present that their investment in further training was not only wise for their own future, but also for that of the companies in which they would work. Germany's dual training system is considered one of the best in the world, and Traub confirmed that graduates have excellent qualifications.
Importance of continuing education
Knut Lohrisch, member of the management board of the IHK, emphatically complemented Traub's few words. “You can rightly be proud of that,” he spoke about the dual training system and its outstanding ability to combine theory and practice. He also noted that the demand for skilled workers will be a key issue going forward.
The evening was an opportunity not only for the graduates to celebrate their achievements, but also for their families and friends who turned out in large numbers. Traub thanked everyone present for their support before the medals were ceremoniously presented. The event was charmingly moderated by Julia Hagel and offered a pleasant atmosphere.
The highlight of the evening was the honoring of graduates from 13 different IHK courses. The newly qualified specialists were personally invited onto the stage by Lohrisch and awarded the medals. “I hope that this IHK degree opens all doors for you, be it for new projects or new professional challenges,” said Traub, wishing the graduates much success on their future path.
An entertaining element of the program was the performance of the dancers from DDC Breakdancer, who provided lively and dynamic entertainment. The event concluded with a sociable get-together, where DJ Marco provided the musical accompaniment. Not only were there celebratory honors that evening, but guests also had the opportunity to make contacts and exchange ideas over food and drinks.
With this event, the IHK Northern Black Forest set an example for the importance of further training in the region. Given the challenges of the labor market, an IHK qualification offers graduates a valuable foundation for their professional future.
