Rottenacker votes: Who will bring a breath of fresh air to the mayor's office?
The mayoral election in Rottenacker is taking place on October 13th. Three candidates want to take over the leadership of the community and answer important questions about their vision for the future of the community in a current interview. This choice is of great importance as it could shape Rottenacker's strategic direction for years to come.
Sonja Hadur, Jochen Niedermann and Moritz Heinzmann face the challenges that citizens pose to them. First, it's about the strengths and weaknesses of the community. Hadur highlights Rottenacker's good infrastructure, which, however, needs further development, especially in the area of digitalization. Niedermann adds that the community's financial situation is stable thanks to a successful commercial settlement, but there is a lack of affordable housing. Heinzmann sees great potential in planned construction projects and improving traffic conditions, especially for children.
Future projects in focus
The candidates have clear plans for how they want to further develop Rottenacker. Hadur calls the creation of living space her top priority, and she also wants to promote digitalization and support social projects. Niedermann is planning improvements to traffic safety and wants to tackle the renovation of the outdated water and sewer system. Heinzmann focuses on completing the planned residential areas in order to offer young families prospects and at the same time close gaps in construction.
Another key concern for Heinzmann is the brick building on the Danube, which is currently empty. He sees opportunities to put this historically valuable building to new use, which could not only preserve the character of the community but also create new opportunities.
There is also criticism of the lack of ideal leisure activities for young people. Here the candidates would like to implement new projects in collaboration with young people. One possible idea from Heinzmann is to build a beach volleyball court at the swimming lake, which could serve as a meeting place for young people.
The upcoming election and the projects presented are crucial for the future development of Rottenacker. The upcoming answers to more personal questions from the candidates next week also promise to offer exciting insights into their personalities and views.
