PowerColor brings the Radeon RX 9070 XT: Revolution in the graphics market!

PowerColor as the first board partner has announced a top model of the RDNA 4 graphics cards with Navi 48. The new models that are to be presented are the Red Devil Radeon RX 9070 XT and the Hellhound Radeon RX 9070 XT. While the Red Devil Radeon RX 9070 XT will be equipped with factory overclocking and a complex cooling solution, the Hellhound Radeon RX 9070 XT has a more subtle design and a large neckline in the backplate for improved air circulation.

For the Radeon RX 9070 XT, no official technical specifications have yet been published, but the following is calculated: the architecture RDNA 4, a Navi 48 graphics processor (GFX 1201) and 64 computing units (CUS). Further specifications include 4.096/8.192 Shader units (alus) in connection with "Dual-ISSUE", 128 grid processors (ROPS) and 64 Raytracing cores (RT cores). The clock frequencies should be between 2.8 and 3.1 GHz, with a graphics memory of 16 GibdDDR6, a memory speed of 20 GBit/s and a 256-bit memory interface. The memory bandwidth is expected to be 640 GB/s, and an AMD Infinity Cache of 64 MIB should be integrated. The TDP/TGP is said to be 260 watts. A total of three variants-Red Devil, Hellhound and a new Reaper series-and the official presentation of the new Radeon graphics cards will be carried out on January 6, 2025 at 8 p.m. by AMDS CEO Lisa Su.

teaser and expectations of the RX 9070 XT

In another message, PowerColor has published the first pictures of the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, which is expected at a special presentation during CES 2025. The RX 9070 XT belongs to the Red Devil GPU series from PowerColor and it is sought to challenge Nvidia's dominance in the GPU market. Rumors indicate that the RX 9070 XT will offer a ray tracing performance similar to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080.

The published teaser images show a metal backplate with the PowerColor Red Devil Logo as well as designs with three fans and a red illuminated, crystal-like structure. The specific model is not yet clearly assigned, but the users on X (formerly Twitter) have reacted positively to the new 9000 series. It is also speculated that the RX 9070 XT could come onto the market in February 2025, while lower models are to follow in March. The official specifications are expected to be announced only at the AMD's announcement, which is to take place next week on CES 2025.
