Promoting young talent: GRG 23 Alterlaa benefits from a donation of 5,000 euros
An exciting initiative to promote young talent in management consulting is taking shape! The Management Consulting, Accounting and IT Association (UBIT) of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce organized the Online Consultancy Experts Day together with the incite educational academy. The proceeds from this event will be used to support GRG 23 Alterlaa, one of the largest high schools in Vienna, with 5,000 euros so that they can also take part in the Youth Entrepreneurship Week 2025. This week will take place from March 3rd to 6th, 2025 at WIFI Vienna and aims to inspire young talent for entrepreneurship. The check was handed over ceremoniously as part of the last Austrian IT and Consultants Day in the majestic Hofburg in Vienna.
Energy and ideas for the future
Almost 100 participants took part in this event, who gained valuable insights into the industry through specialist lectures on topics such as the Flexcap corporate form, the European Green Deal and artificial intelligence in management consulting. This initiative will not only promote the innovative strength of the location, but also increase Austria's competitiveness. Alfred Harl, chairman of the UBIT trade association, emphasizes the great enthusiasm of young people for entrepreneurship and sees this as enormous creative potential for Austria's future. The support for the high school comes at the right time, as it gives the participants the opportunity to take part in the design thinking process and to develop and implement their own ideas.
The Youth Entrepreneurship Week is a central component of the “Austrian National Action Plan for Entrepreneurship Education”, which was launched by various ministries and organizations. Since 2021, 337 such weeks have taken place across the country, inspiring over 11,000 young people. The past few years have shown that students develop innovative and sustainable projects that are not only creative but also socially responsible. This creates ideas such as a subscription model for healthy snacks or sustainable products that can enrich our society. These initiatives not only promote creativity, but also entrepreneurial thinking and actions among the young generation, which is of great importance for the future of Austria.
