Shocking network fraud: millions of losses from cybercriminals!

Seefeld, Österreich - A spectacular blow against organized internet crime was achieved by the Nuremberg Criminal Police and the Bavarian Central Office Cybercrime. Five Romanian accused were arrested and are suspected of having obtained access to dealer accounts of a large online shipping trade through fraudulent phishing emails. Investigations and arrests

The extensive investigation that has been running since August 2023 led to house searches in 13 objects in Tyrol, Romania and in the Regensburg area. Supported by Romanian and Austrian law enforcement agencies, various evidence could be ensured, including around 70,000 euros in cash and numerous computers. In another area of ​​fraudulent activities, the accused tried to capture rental deposits through fake real estate advertisements. At least seven injuries had transferred around 17,000 euros, as BlauglichtMyk reported.

The arrests and searches are a major progress in the fight against international organized crime. Cooperation between the states and various authorities increases the hope of further uncovering the structures behind these frauds and identifying other accomplices.
