Bahnhof Rastatt, 76437 Rastatt, Deutschland - Rastatt, Germany - a serious incident shook the Rastatt station on Friday morning, March 7, 2025. A 55-year-old worker was injured by an electric shock at around 9 a.m. The injured person was immediately brought out of the danger area and cared for by the emergency services before being transported to a nearby hospital. Immediately after arriving, the emergency services found a smoke development in a cable shaft that was due to a smoldering fire. This incident forced the fire brigade, while the train station and the surrounding tracks were completely powerless, reported Fireworld.at.
The situation at the train station continued to deteriorate, since the Deutsche Bahn set up a replacement of rail traffic in response to the disorder in order to support the travelers concerned. The silver strip on the horizon: The injured worker has now left the hospital. However, the exact cause of the accident remains unclear and is under investigation by the Federal Police Inspection Offenburg.
