A dramatic accident occurred in the Börde district on Friday: a freight train and a truck collided at a railway crossing between the A2 junction Marienborn and Belsdorf. The MDR SAXONY-ANHALT police station announced that the truck was on the tracks for unknown reasons. The truck driver was able to get out of the vehicle in time, while the train driver was only slightly injured. Significant traffic disruptions are expected due to the accident. The road between Marienborn and Belsdorf remains closed, and regional train 40 is delayed because the route from Marienborn to Eilsleben is currently not passable.
