Tobogganing in Bramberg: How to protect yourself from dangerous accidents!
The toboggan run in Bramberg attracts more than 140,000 adventurous people annually, who take the 14 km route. But how safe is the tobogganing pleasure, especially after a tragic incident at the beginning of the month, in which a woman had a fatal accident? "The train is a challenge, not everyone is well trained," says a tobogganist from Germany. Similar concerns are shared by vacation visitors who point out that false clothes, the lack of a helmet and excessive driving behavior always lead to accidents. Self -overestimation and poor equipment are common causes, warns Rudolf Göstl, board member of the Wildkogel mountain railways, and adds that despite preventive measures, you cannot avoid any misfortune.
tobogganing under the best conditions
The toboggan run has daily operating times that are based on the snow, and is illuminated on Saturdays until 10:00 p.m. with special caution after 6:00 p.m. when extensive preparation work is carried out on Mondays. Vacationers can use an extended driveway every Friday until 6:30 p.m. with the emerald track if the weather allows it. In order to minimize the risks, it is appealed to rake, to realistically assess your own ability and to keep an eye on alcohol intake. "A little pleasure is part of it, but in moderation is crucial," says Göstl.
The discussion about security measures is underlined by the latest security precautions, which are supported by intensive clarification of the guests and increased measures by the piste team. Nevertheless, the appeal remains clear: a responsible behavior of the tobogganists is essential to prevent similar tragic incidents in the future. So tobogganing time is also based on the changed weather conditions to enable the best fun for everyone, such as wildkogel-arena.at notes.
