From the 2025/26 winter season, the ski experience in the Schladming-Dachstein region is revolutionized by the construction of new state-of-the-art railways. The construction work of a new 10-gondola railway "Hauser Kaibling" and an 8-seater chairlift "Mitterhausalm I" begins in spring 2025 and should be completed in time for the start of the season, as the state of Styria announced. According to orf.at , the 10-seater gondola railway will offer a train ride of less than five minutes-this is two minutes faster than with the previous track. This connection enables winter sports enthusiasts to get directly to the transmitter plateau, which is only a lift ride from the highest point of the Schladminger 4-Berge ski lacron.

The new gondola railway will not only be equipped with a promotion of 2,400 people per hour, but also offers also comfort with its aerodynamic cabin shape, which is less susceptible to wind, and the ski shelf that enables easy on and out. In addition to the gondola lift, the new 8-seater chairlift "Mitterhausalm I" also replaces the old 4-seater chairlift "Sonneck" for a faster connection. Their funding service is 3,000 people per hour, and the travel time is only three minutes, which makes long waiting times superfluous.
