Burgenland celebrates 100 years with a colorful hidden object book for children!
As part of Burgenland's 100th anniversary, a fascinating hidden object book was launched that is aimed at the country's youngest citizens. Governor Hans Peter Doskozil announced that all Tafelclass students in Burgenland elementary schools will receive a personal copy of the book “A Balloon Ride from the North to the South”. This initiative aims to introduce children to the rich knowledge about their homeland in a playful way and is intended to promote both education and identity formation. “We want to show the children the beauty and diversity of Burgenland,” explained Doskozil.
The hidden object book, created by the Burgenland artist Gottfried Reszner with over 260 watercolor drawings, takes little readers on an adventurous balloon ride where they discover the sights of Burgenland. This project is supported by State Councilor Daniela Winkler, who emphasizes that it is important to inform children about their environment in an age-appropriate manner. The result is a comprehensive book series that is also intended to promote children's language and reading skills burgenland.ORF.at reported.
Diverse topics and creative design
The positive effects of hidden object pictures are undeniable. They not only promote concentration and attention, but also stimulate children's imagination. This was also recognized by Reszner being awarded the Burgenland Book Prize in the children's and young adult book category. In addition to the hidden object book, there is the book “My Burgenland Book” for older young people, which deals with important topics from history, culture and society and was specially designed for 16-year-olds. This diverse series makes learning about Burgenland exciting and engaging for all ages by delving into the history and different facets of the region burgenland.at.
