Change at the top: Ostallgäu traffic police with a new chairman!

In an exciting change at the top of the Ostallgäu Süd regional traffic police, Clemens Herz was elected as the new chairman. After four years, Johannes Stoll hands over the reins, while the former police chief of Pfronten, Thomas Zeidler, retains his position as treasurer. This decision was made unanimously at the annual meeting, where the future goals of the traffic police were also outlined. According to Stoll, the association's primary motto is: "If our work results in just one less person being killed in traffic, then our work has been worth it." A central goal remains the safety of students in the Füssener Land with special offers at primary schools, such as support in purchasing bicycles for students at Halblech primary school Allgäu newspaper reported.

Training project for people with disabilities

On May 11th there was a groundbreaking event in Halle (Westphalia): the premiere of the new project “Traffic safety training for people with disabilities”, which was initiated by the members of the Gütersloh district traffic safety working group. In response to a desire for greater safety when crossing the streets, the participants trained both theoretically and practically on how to move better in traffic. Mayor Thomas Tappe and Police Chief Inspector Heiko Patzelt supported the participants during the training. In addition, the district plans to teach disabled cyclists how to cycle safely in future training courses My Spöggsken market reported.

Both initiatives demonstrate a commitment to improving road safety in the region and appeal to target groups that are often overlooked. While the Ostallgäu traffic police particularly focus on young people, the Gütersloh district's new project ensures that people with disabilities can also travel safely on the roads. The success of these programs will be critical to future security efforts in the region.
