On Friday, November 21, 2025, a tragic traffic accident occurred on the B304 near Wieshäusl, between Oberteisendorf and Surberg in Bavaria, around 6 p.m. This head-on collision involved a Ford Fiesta and an Audi. A passenger in the Audi lost her life at the scene of the accident, while five other occupants of both vehicles had to be taken to hospital with various injuries. The exact circumstances that led to this serious accident are still unclear. According to reports, the Ford Fiesta veered left into the oncoming lane, resulting in the collision.
Six people, including two locals in the Ford Fiesta and four Traunsteiners in the Audi, were involved in the accident. All occupants were injured by the impact. Rescue and emergency services
The volunteer fire departments from Oberteisendorf, Rückstetten, Surberg and Traunstein were quickly at the scene of the accident and provided first aid. In addition, several ambulances and emergency doctors were on site to transport the injured to clinics in Bad Reichenhall, Traunstein and Salzburg. A firefighter was injured during the operation. The fire brigade took on important tasks such as providing first aid to the injured, fire protection, as well as closing off the B304 and setting up a diversion.
The Freilassing police station took over the accident recording and the investigation. A technical and accident analysis report was ordered to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident. Both vehicles suffered a total loss and had to be towed away. Traffic on the B304 was temporarily closed in both directions to make work easier for the emergency services.
