On New Year's Day there was a tragic accident at Prebersee in Tamsweg when a 22-year-old holidaymaker slipped off the track on an icy curve during her toboggan ride and fell four meters over steep terrain. She sustained injuries to her head and legs. Immediately after the accident, ten mountain rescuers rushed to the scene of the accident to rescue the young woman. The mountain rescue doctor immediately provided first aid, took care of pain relief and ensured that the temperature was maintained. The injured person was transported to the valley with a mountain rescue quad, where she was handed over to the Red Cross and taken to Tamsweg Hospital to ensure further medical treatment.
