Gas supply restored in Hague after pipe damage!

A dramatic incident shocked the community of Hague this morning when a high-profile gas pipe suddenly burst around 6 a.m., causing a loud bang and disrupting gas supplies to around 3,500 customers. However, rescue came quickly: Thanks to the tireless work of Netz Niederösterreich employees, the gas supply was restored at 3:45 a.m. after intensive repair work. “The first step was to restore the supply as quickly as possible – we succeeded,” explained Michael Kovarik, spokesman for Netz Niederösterreich, to noe.ORF.at. The gas supply is currently being ensured via a replacement line, while research into the causes has begun at the same time.

As a result of the incident, two neighboring houses were evacuated as a precaution, but the residents were able to return to their apartments in the morning. The exact cause of the pipe break, which has not yet been clarified, is now being investigated through detailed analysis. Meanwhile, Netz Niederösterreich employees are standing by to provide support to all households whose gas boilers did not restart on their own after the incident. Customers who need help can contact EVN on the hotline 0810 820 120 in order to quickly return to their usual routine. How noe.ORF.at reported that the damaged section of pipe will be extensively repaired and consolidated in the coming days as soon as the causes of the break have been clarified.
