Eva Prischl: New hope for Lower Austria's healthcare system!
A change at the top of the Lower Austrian state government is imminent: Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig will move to the federal government as State Secretary, and the third President of the State Parliament, Eva Prischl, is considered the clear favorite to succeed her. The state party executive of the SPÖ in Lower Austria will deal with this succession this evening in St. Pölten. This is reported by several media outlets, such as the press.
The nomination of Prischl as her successor is viewed optimistically. Matthias Zauner, the state managing director of the VPNÖ, expressed confidence about Prischl's future work: "In her previous role, she has placed the unifying above the dividing. We are therefore confident that she will continue her constructive way of working as a member of the Lower Austrian state government," continued Zauner. These developments are particularly important with regard to the health pact, as Prischl should actively participate and contribute to the content, as Königsberger-Ludwig did before OTS.
The upcoming castling will also result in a change in the presidium of the state parliament, as a state parliament mandate will also open up due to the change from Königsberger-Ludwig. Prischl's official swearing-in as the new state councilor is planned for the state parliament session on March 27th, and it is expected that she will be introduced to her new office in front of the MPs there. In addition, another woman is being sought to succeed her in the Presidium of the State Parliament in order to ensure the desired parity.
