The first “Go2Ordi Founders Fair” in Vienna was an overwhelming success! Over 200 guests accepted the invitation from the Chamber of Physicians in Vienna to receive practical information and valuable networking opportunities. The fair was aimed at medical professionals who want to set up their own practice or further develop their existing practice. In his opening speech, Johannes Steinhart, President of the Chamber, discussed the importance of private practice medicine for healthcare in Austria. He emphasized: “The path to self-employment as a doctor is a big step that requires not only medical expertise but also entrepreneurial knowledge.” The trade fair offered a mix of lectures, practical advice and networking to address these challenges. Naghme Kamaleyan-Schmied, Vice President of the Chamber, added that it was about “actively shaping the future of private practice medicine in Austria,” as also stated on the Chamber’s website aekwien.at is to be read.
The feedback was consistently positive. The participants described the trade fair as inspiring and helpful, with the exchange with experienced colleagues being particularly valued. The organizers see a great need for information on the topic of establishing an ordination and developing practices and plan to continue this successful event in 2026. The participants were able to take away valuable tools for the successful start or further development of their practices, which underlines the importance of this trade fair for aspiring physicians.
