Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand wins Miss World 2025

Opal Suchata Chuangsri Thailand was on Saturday in India crowned Miss World. This year the international beauty pageant took place in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad.

About the competition

Chuangsri beat 108 competitors and won the title. The first place finisher was Hasset Dereje Admassu of Ethiopia, who took second place. The crown was presented to her by last year's winner Krystyna Pyszková.

Moderation and past events

The 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant was chaired by Miss World 2016 Stephanie del Valle and Indian anchor Sachiin Kumbhar. India had already acted as host country last year.

Indian participants in the competition

In the competition, the Indian participant Nandini Gupta was eliminated after the first 20 participants. In total, six Indian women have won the title, including Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000) and Manushi Chillar (2017).
