Hollabrunn meets serious storm: fire brigade fights against floods!
Hollabrunn, Österreich - On July 24, 2025, a severe storm moved around the city of Hollabrunn in Lower Austria around 4:00 p.m. According to fireworld.at, around 60 millimeters fell, accompanied by partly violent hail. This extreme weather situation led to numerous floods and storm damage in the urban area, which required the activation of the Hollabrunn area and the district management.
The residents had to quickly encounter the consequences of the storm. Around 250 fire brigade members from a total of 32 fire brigades had been used with 43 vehicles. Over 80 points of application were reported, with the main tasks of pumping out the flooded basement and the clearing of roads to tree falls and flooding.
