KRAL GmbH is growing despite crises: sales jump by 8.5%!

In the 2024/25 financial year, KRAL GmbH recorded impressive growth of 8.5% and increased its business volume to 51.2 million euros. The company has particularly distinguished itself through market share gains in the Asian, North American and European markets, as Managing Director Christoph Matt emphasizes. These sales increases are a sign of the company's resilience as it operates in an increasingly difficult global environment.

KRAL recently received an order worth 1.2 million euros in the maritime sector in India, which further underlines its success in the Asian market. With around 240 employees and an export rate of 97%, the company shows the importance of international trade for its business model. The branches in Germany, Poland, France, the USA and China as well as over 45 international sales partners strengthen KRAL's global presence.

Political challenges and strategic adjustments

The political developments in the USA and China represent new challenges for KRAL. The company is therefore planning to establish local production for the Chinese market in order to be able to react more flexibly to the circumstances. Despite these challenges, the development of core competencies such as flow measurement technology and customer-specific system solutions remains anchored in Europe.

In addition, the management team has been expanded and now consists of Christoph Matt and Thomas Blum. Frank Hofer and Florian Grabher-Meier were appointed authorized representatives to set the course for the company's future expansion and efficiency.

Global trade dynamics and KRAL's positioning

While KRAL is on a growth path, the landscape of global goods exports is also changing. According to recent data, about $24,900 billion worth of goods were exported in 2022, with Europe and North America losing share while Asia rose sharply. In 2022, Europe's export share was 36.1%, compared to 35.5% for Asia. China's influence on this development is immense, as China's share of global goods exports has increased from 1.8% in 1990 to 14.4% in 2022, as bpb.de emphasizes.

Overall, around 50.1% of world goods exports were traded interregionally, i.e. between different regions, while 49.9% remained intraregional. This means that companies like KRAL, which operate internationally, have to react skillfully to different markets in order to remain competitive. In Europe, the share of intra-regional trade was 69%, which speaks of the strength of trade within the region, while in Asia it was also 56%, as can be seen in another analysis by bpb.de.

The dynamic development in global trade and the adaptations of companies like KRAL to new challenges illustrate how important it is to think and act strategically both regionally and internationally.
