Ferrari accident on Highway 126: Prominent citizen of Florence dead!

A tragic accident on the Highway 126 between Florence and Mapleton led to a death on Tuesday afternoon, January 9, 2025. In the incident at 3:05 p.m., near the milestone 8 in Lane County, a red Ferrari GTB was involved, which was traveling west at high speed.

The Oregon State Police (OSP) immediately reacted to the incident and started a preliminary investigation. According to initial knowledge, the Ferrari crossed the center line of the street and crashed into a guardrail before the vehicle tipped over and landed in a pond next to the street. The driver, the 74-year-old Victor Cianci from Florence, was declared dead at the scene of the accident. Cianci was a prominent personality in the municipality of Florence and had only recently bought the Ferrari.
