Reading Pass 2025: Pass for children as a way of life!

In Lower Austria, an exciting project for promoting reading skills starts, which is already expected in schools. At the beginning of the semester, the reading pass 2025 will be transmitted to all elementary and special schools. This initiative, which runs under the umbrella of time reading, bears the motto "Read - Your Guide" and aims to raise awareness of the fundamental role of reading in orientation. Both books and texts as well as signposts, plans and street signs can be viewed as reading objects, which the action designs particularly flexibly. With a versatile concept that combines game and learning, the children are motivated by small reading tasks. These already proven tasks are designed in such a way that they can be carried out both in school and in an extra -curricular context. The children receive a sticker for every successfully completed task, which also increases motivation. The inclusion of family members and other caregivers is also encouraged, as reading together increases the joy of reading. Overall, this comprehensive action pursues the goal of sustainably strengthening the reading motivation of children and focusing on the importance of reading by integrating it into different areas of life.
