HC Linz celebrates a surprising victory in Graz: A triumph despite injury!

An exciting handball Saturday for the fans! HC Linz celebrated an impressive 28:23 win against Graz, which was a real odyssey for the reigning champions after many years. The team has previously played in Styria seven times and not achieved a win - the last success dates back to October 2019! Coach Milan Vunjak reminded his team of this frightening record in the run-up to the game, and it was a very special player who turned the tide: Andrei Klimavets, a Belarusian who had recently struggled with immigration problems and suffered a nose injury in the first training session. Nevertheless, the 23-year-old contributed an impressive eleven goals to the win the crown reported.

A victorious winter

HC Metter-Enz, on the other hand, can look forward to a perfect record, as the handball players in the district class wintered at the top of the table without a defeat. In the last game of the year, the team beat HSG Sulzbach-Murrhardt 29:22. Coach Stefan Sack noticed that his players initially showed a lack of concentration when finishing, but they quickly managed to play at their usual strength. With a solid 14:10 lead at halftime and a dominant second half, the game was quickly decided. Sack expressed his satisfaction: "We are very satisfied so far. The team has implemented everything that we as a coaching team had imagined and is therefore rightly at the top," as on hc-metterenz.de is to be read.

Both teams impressively show their form and arouse enthusiasm among their supporters. While HC Linz drives away the ghosts of the past, HC Metter-Enz holds high the flag of invincibility. This promises exciting developments in the handball season!
