A state of emergency in Rostock! Music legend Peter Maffay once again caused a stir in the Hanseatic city on Thursday. After his fantastic performance at the Ostseestadion, where he thrilled 27,000 fans in the summer, the 75-year-old was at Warnowpark in Lütten Klein for an autograph session. He was accompanied by his wife Hendrikje Balsmeyer, and the fans were thrilled!

“I like being up here,” enthused Maffay and added: “If you’re a landlubber like me, then you’re happy to have water nearby.” Fans turned out in large numbers to see their idols and have memorabilia signed. The atmosphere was electric and the enthusiasm of the supporters was palpable.

Loyal fans celebrate Maffay

The memories of his last appearance in Rostock are vivid for Maffay and his fans. “We just played the rain off the wall,” the singer recalled of the acclaimed start of the tour. Among the fans was Sylvia Welker, who has been a Maffay fan since 1986. “I met him in person at the Hotel Warnow,” she said with joy about the reunion in the Warnow Park.

Maggy Zander, a die-hard supporter who has accompanied Maffay for 54 years, was also there. "I've had everything signed: my books, my cards. I'm really excited," she admitted. The autograph session lasted around three hours and was a real home game for Maffay, which made the hearts of his fans beat faster.
