Derks Bedrijfswagens, a Dutch company, has converted the Tesla Model 3 into a hearse, which is being offered under the name “Tesla Hearse 3”. Since the first prototype was presented in April 2022, over 25 of these vehicles have already been in use. In order to be able to use the Tesla as a hearse, extensive modifications were necessary. However, those interested will have to dig deep into their pockets for this model, as the price starts at 105,950 euros, while leasing options are available from 2,000 euros per month. Additional innovations in the area of ​​electric hearses

Another innovative approach comes from Vander der Lans & Busscher BV, a Dutch funeral company that has been producing custom hearses since 1896. In collaboration with the conversion company RemetzCar, they converted a Tesla Model S into a hearse that can accommodate a full-size coffin. To do this, the vehicle was lengthened by 31.5 inches and a new roof was added to allow greater height for the coffin. Large windows on the sides and a two-sided sunroof make the vehicle particularly attractive. This converted Tesla was unveiled at the 2016 Funeral Exhibition in Gorinchem, Netherlands, making it clear that electric, zero-emission hearses are on the rise, like Digital trends reported.
