Ceramic pans in the test: Only two models convinced the testers!
Current test results from the Giessen General show that only two of the ceramic pans with non-stick coatings tested received a “good” rating. Stiftung Warentest examined a total of 13 models for their frying properties, durability of the coating and practical handling, with all pans tested being free of harmful substances. The test winners, the Rösle Silence Pro (grade 2.3) and the Ballarini Ledro (grade 2.4), impressed with their outstanding frying properties and a high level of safety when handling.
The Rösle Silence Pro is characterized by its excellent heat distribution and storage. In practical tests it showed uniform heating and sold for around 100 euros. The Ballarini Ledro, on the other hand, scored with a particularly robust coating and a price of around 65 euros, making it an attractive choice. Despite the positive reviews, some of the pans tested had deficiencies in durability, where food residue sometimes stubbornly stuck, and the heat distribution was not always optimal, resulting in unevenly fried food, as shown test.de is reported.
Tips for caring for ceramic pans
The experts recommend using ceramic pans at low to medium temperatures, preferring rapeseed or sunflower oil to extend the life of the coating. It is recommended to clean the pans by hand with a soft sponge and not to wash them in the dishwasher. For stubborn residues, soaking in warm water with dish soap can help. To avoid scratches, you should pay attention to using wooden or silicone kitchen utensils and take appropriate protective measures when stacking pans.
