Dreame brings the Z1 series: The new pool robot starts at 799 EUR!

On April 15, 2025, Dreame Technology announced its launch of the first Z1 series of intelligent pool robots. The starting price for the Z1 is 999 euros, while there is an introductory price of 799 euros for the first 14 days. The 200 euro discount is available on the official Dreame website as well as through retailers such as Amazon, Cyberport, OTTO, OBI, HORNBACH and Bauhaus. The Z1 series presents itself as an innovative solution for automated pool cleaning.

These new pool robots use proprietary PoolSense(TM) technology, which includes a Triple Surround Fusion Perception System. This allows the devices to scan different pool shapes, such as rectangular, round and free-form pools, and create intelligent cleaning routes. With a suction power of 30 m³/h, the robot removes dirt, leaves and algae from both the floor and the walls of the pool. After cleaning, the Z1 automatically returns to the edge of the pool, making removal easier.

Technical details of the Z1 series

The Z1 series offers various models, including the Z1 Pro, which is equipped with a LiFi-controlled remote control for real-time manual control. The price for the Z1 Pro is 1,299 euros, while the launch price is 1,099 euros. The Z1 Robotic Pool Cleaner is described as a cordless, automated pool cleaner and offers a cleaning performance of 8000 gallons per hour (GPH) as well as an operating time of over 180 minutes.

  • Reinigungsmodi: Diverse Modi für Boden, Wände und Wasserlinie
  • Intelligente Navigation: Hindernisvermeidung und Auto-Parkfunktion
  • Filtertyp: 180µm Filter

The products are suitable for freshwater and saltwater pools and can be used in pools with up to 5000 PPM salt and 4 PPM chlorine. Aftercare is also clearly defined: After each use, the garbage basket should be emptied and the sensors and brushes checked for foreign bodies.

Market development and future prospects

A recently published white paper from Beatbot and IDC entitled “Smart pool robots – the beginning of a new era of pool care” highlights developments in pool cleaning technology and trends in the market. Over 3.97 million pool cleaning robots are expected to be shipped by 2029, implying annual growth of 9.3%. Consumers are showing increasing demand for smart pool cleaning solutions, supported by advances in smart home technology.

According to IDC, pool cleaning devices are currently going through three phases of development: the transition from traditional hand-operated tools to wireless, inefficient cleaning robots and finally to smart pool robots equipped with artificial intelligence. The four key skills for effective smart pool cleaning include sensory capabilities, decision making, cleaning execution and human-machine interaction.

Dreame Technology, specializing in smart home appliances since 2017, has over 150 core patents in areas such as high-speed motors and SLAM technology. Their product range extends from vacuum robots and cordless stick vacuum cleaners to lawn mowers and hair care products.

With the introduction of the Z1 series and exciting developments for the future of pool cleaning, the company may have taken an important step in the evolution of pool care technology. The combination of innovative technology and increasing market demand sets new standards in pool cleaning.
