A failed trip to the Christmas market in Möllensdorf ended in an uproar for 27 tourists. Instead of a happy Advent atmosphere, the group's coach ended up on a remote dirt road, stuck and with no way out. According to police, the driver's navigation system misled him and a small tractor could not save the situation Northern Courier reported.
The problems began at the weekend when the mostly older travelers were on their way to the festive market. Although a tractor driver attempted to pull the bus out, it turned out to be too small for the task. Finally, a towing company with heavy equipment was called in, which delayed the rescue for several hours. While the travelers were freezing, spontaneous helpers from the area offered how MDR reported support and drove some of the stranded people to the Christmas market in their cars. A second coach was also organized and ultimately delivered all passengers to their destination about 90 minutes late.
The happy arrival despite adversity
When the travelers finally reached the Christmas market, according to a police spokeswoman, they were greeted by a loud Santa Claus who gave them a warm welcome through a loudspeaker announcement. Despite the unexpected difficulties and the frosty stay on the dirt road, the trip ultimately had a happy ending.
