The police warned of fake letters from Schleswig-Holstein Netz GmbH (SH Netz) that contain financial demands. A man from Marne, Dithmarschen district, received a reminder shortly before Christmas Eve that claimed a payment of 20 euros and a SEPA direct debit mandate. However, the person concerned realized that it was a fake and filed a complaint.

The police confirmed that the letter in question is not authentic and advised the recipients of dubious reminders, before payments and direct debit mandates. As a precaution, those affected should ask for checking the authenticity of the letter to the sender. SH Netz also informed the man that the letter does not come from them.

The situation was similar to another Dithmarscher who received an authentic -looking reminder of SH Netz over around 20 euros on December 11, 2024. Since he had already deposited his bank data from the network operator, he became skeptical and contacted the service provider. The latter confirmed that the letter did not come from them and there was no claim.

The man from Marne, who had received the reminder shortly before Christmas Eve, did not pay and filed a complaint the day before Christmas Eve. The police urgently warns of fake letters with monetary claims and recommends that recipients of strange reminders should contact the demanding to protect themselves from possible damage.
