Caution! Police warn of fake reminders in Marne

The police have warned of fake letters from Schleswig-Holstein Netz GmbH (SH Netz) that contain financial demands. A man from Marne, Dithmarschen district, received a reminder shortly before Christmas Eve demanding a payment of 20 euros and a Sepa direct debit mandate. However, the person concerned realized that it was a fake and filed a report.

The police confirmed that the letter in question was not authentic and advised recipients of dubious reminders to refrain from making payments and direct debit mandates. As a precautionary measure, those affected should check with the sender to check the authenticity of the letter. SH Netz also informed the man that the letter did not come from them.

More counterfeits in the region

A similar thing happened to another Dithmarscher who received an authentic-looking reminder from SH Netz for around 20 euros on December 11, 2024. Since he had already provided his bank details with the network operator, he became skeptical and contacted the service provider. He confirmed that the letter did not come from you and that there was no claim.

The man from Marne, who received the reminder shortly before Christmas Eve, did not pay and filed a report the day before Christmas Eve. The police warn urgently against fake letters demanding money and recommend that recipients of strange reminders should contact the person making the request to protect themselves from possible damage.
