Accident with drunk drivers: Chaos on Linzer Strasse!
A serious traffic accident occurred in the Haselgraben in the evening when a young man with his 72-year-old grandfather tried an overtaking maneuver in the passenger seat. The driver realized too late that he did not have enough space to safely overtake the oncoming vehicle and steered to the right. There was a collision with the car of a 72-year-old woman and another vehicle in which a 34-year-old man was sitting. The impact was so violent that vehicle parts were scattered over a distance of 200 meters, and there was considerable damage to property. A 16-year-old girl who was sitting in the back seat of the person who caused the accident was slightly injured, while the other participants luckily remained unharmed. During the investigation, however, the police found that the 34-year-old driver, who was in oncoming traffic, was on the road with almost 1.2 per thousand alcohol in the blood and without a valid driver's license, as reported.
tips for seniors when buying a car
The accident also raises questions about safe driving, especially for older drivers. According to adac.de , seniors have special demands on vehicles that ensure their safety and comfort while driving. A suitable car for seniors should offer an increased seating position so that the driver has a good overview, as well as simple control elements and high security. All -round view is also particularly important, since older drivers often have limited mobility and can turn over more heavily when parking. Models such as the Audi Q2, BMW X1 and the Citroën C5 Aircross meet these criteria and are particularly suitable for this group of drivers. The ADAC also offers extensive advice and test reports on proven senior cars.
