Tragic accident: Eleven wild boars die on the A391 near Braunschweig

A devastating accident occurred at night on the A391 in the direction of Salzgitter when a 54-year-old man from Braunschweig drove his VW Golf into a pack of wild boars. According to the police, the driver was unable to brake in time, which had fatal consequences: a total of eleven wild boars died. The man's car was badly damaged in the collision and the driver suffered chest pain, which did not require medical treatment N TV reported.

The accident occurred shortly after the Braunschweig-Hansestrasse exit, where the wild boars suddenly appeared on the road. Seven animals died immediately, while four others had to be rescued by the alerted police and the authorized hunters who were called in RegionalToday. The A391 was closed until around 4:30 a.m. in order to recover the crashed car and the deceased animals and to clean the road.
