Serious accident in Schwerin: motorcyclist collides with an open car door!

On Sunday, January 12, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the B104 between the B106 junction and Margaretenhof near Schwerin at 4 p.m. A 67-year-old driver of a Ford stopped for unknown reasons and opened the driver's door. A 17-year-old motorcyclist overlooked the open door and collided with it.

The young cyclist suffered serious injuries in the collision and had to be taken to hospital in Schwerin in an ambulance. Both the Ford and the light motorcycle were no longer drivable after the accident and had to be towed away. The resulting material damage amounts to around 4,000 euros. The B104 was completely closed for around an hour to enable emergency services and the police to investigate the accident and recover the vehicle.
