Tobogganing accidents on Semmering: Police are looking for witnesses!
Drama at Semmering: Three Viennese women suffered serious injuries in simultaneous tobogganing accidents. The Leobersdorf police are now faced with a mystery and are looking for witnesses who can provide information about the incidents. According to reports from oe24, the accidents happened independently of each other, but all within a short time window on the same slope.
The first accident occurred last Saturday, a wintry day straight out of a picture book. After stopping in the bear tunnel, a 37-year-old woman was run over by an unknown tobogganist who ran away after a brief apology. The injured person had to be taken to the Wiener Neustadt University Hospital with serious injuries. Just 20 minutes later, another incident occurred: A 39-year-old rammed another man on a slippery section who was unable to stop in time. The shock was complete when a third woman crashed into the scene. All affected women had to be hospitalized due to their injuries. These worrying developments have prompted the police to urgently ask for the help of witnesses to clarify the identity of the fleeing tobogganers, as the ORF also reports.
Escape after the accident
The incidents have caused a stir in the region - the condition of the women and the anonymous escape of those who caused the tobogganing accident remain concerns of the investigation. Police are calling on any witnesses to the accidents to come forward to shed light on these hurtful tobogganing accidents. In particular, such information could be crucial for the women affected, who now have to deal with the consequences of their injuries.
