Rapid arrest: Ex-prisoner turns highway into crime hotspot!

In an exciting week on the A60 near Bingen, two blatant incidents were reported, characterized by both reckless driving and technical breakdowns. First, a 43-year-old man from the Rhine-Main area, who had only been released from a 14-month prison sentence a few days ago, was stopped during a speed check. He raced through an 80 speed zone at 132 km/h. During the check it turned out that he was not only driving without a license, but also driving a stolen vehicle that he had stolen from a parking garage at Frankfurt Airport the day before. The driver has a significant criminal record and is now facing numerous legal consequences, including possible further prison sentences and hefty fines, such as Near news reported.

Traffic jam due to an empty Mercedes

But the A60 doesn't stay quiet: There was another incident on Tuesday evening when a 33-year-old driver broke down in a construction site with his Mercedes due to an empty tank. This led to the highway being completely closed because the vehicle was blocking the only available lane. The police had to use a crane to remove the car, which also resulted in the oncoming lane being closed for a short time. The entire operation lasted from 11:40 p.m. to 12:50 a.m. and will cost the driver considerably, as he will be asked to pay for the towing and the necessary safety measures, such as Bild.de reported.
