Rioting driver threatens police in Wittenberge!

On the night of Monday to Tuesday there was an incident during a traffic stop in Wittenberge in which several drivers got into difficulties. Two drivers refused to follow the police's instructions and initially drove on, but were later stopped in the city Märkische Allgemeine reported.

The 25-year-old driver of an Opel had a breath alcohol level of 0.92 per mille. His 28-year-old colleague, the driver of a second vehicle, appeared aggressive, threatened the police officers and tried to hit them. The officers had to take the 28-year-old into custody. Meanwhile, three other people who were acquainted with the drivers disrupted police work, leading to the request for additional forces. A drug test on the 28-year-old revealed evidence of cannabis use and he did not have a valid driver's license. Both drivers were taken to hospital for blood tests while police collected the 28-year-old's details and subsequently released him. The criminal police are now investigating drunk driving, driving without a license and resisting police officers.

Just a few hours later, the man drove again and was stopped in Möhlau. This time the breath alcohol test showed a value of 2.59 per mille. The police then seized the vehicle key and initiated criminal proceedings against him for driving without a license and drunk driving.
