Shoplifter caught in Schwandorf: drugs and stolen goods in his backpack!

An exciting incident shook Schwandorf on Thursday! At around 1:30 p.m. the police were informed about a brazen shoplifting in a hypermarket on Paul-von-Denis-Straße. The perpetrator, a 23-year-old drug addict from Upper Franconia, had dared to flee with stolen goods. But the escape didn't last long! Thanks to a lightning-fast search by the federal police, the thief was caught at the train station.

In the unscrupulous thief's backpack, the officers found a loot consisting of perfume testers and items of clothing. The value of the stolen goods is estimated at around 50 euros. But that wasn't everything! The man, who was already known to the police and had been noticed for various crimes in the past, was released after the police measures were completed. But his problems are far from over!

Additional legal issues

In addition to the theft charge, the 23-year-old now also has to answer for violating court instructions. Because of his criminal past, he was prohibited from possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia. When he was arrested, however, he not only had fixing equipment with him, but also a small amount of marijuana. The situation is getting worse and the legal consequences could be serious for Upper Franconia!
