Fish winery and vandalism: Police investigated in Heringen and Kirchheim!
In a shattering incident in Heringen, Hersfeld-Rotenburg district, an illegally set fish reuse has called for the life of a strictly protected otter. According to the police, this incident occurred on November 3 when an attentive witness discovered the Reuse in the Werra and alerted the authorities. The investigations that were then initiated confirmed that the animal has died by the poaching. The police are now pursuing the alleged perpetrators who committed this crime because of the fish poaching and a violation of the Federal Nature Conservation Act, such as ffh.de reported.
Meanwhile, the investigators process devastating facts in Kirchheim: In the period between November 11th and 25th, six beaver dams were deliberately destroyed. These dams, which serve as reproductive and resting places of the protected beavers, were completely removed. In addition, unknown people tried to remove another dam in the area of the IBRA between Gershausen and Reimboldshausen. Here, too, the police are investigating because any destruction or damage to these habitats is punishable, such as Osthessen-News reported.
The police appealed to the population of providing relevant information in order to be responsible for those responsible for these environmental offenses. Perpetrators who participate in such serious violations of nature and animal welfare must be pursued consistently to prevent future offenses.
