Police are on alert after two bicycle thefts were reported in different regions of Germany. On Friday around 12:20 p.m., a citizen in Speyer experienced a special incident. She observed a middle-aged man with a three-day beard, a gray cap and a dark jacket who walked towards a property on Winternheimer Strasse and shortly afterwards disappeared with a stolen bicycle. This bike, which belonged to a kindergarten visitor, is worth around 700 euros. Bicycle thief caught thanks to courageous victim

An incident in Helmstedt, Lower Saxony, on the same weekend was much more dramatic. A mountain bike owner discovered his stolen bike, which had been stolen months ago from a shed in Saxony-Anhalt.
