On the morning of December 15, 2024, at 12:29 a.m., the staff and residents of the A-Energie gas station in Hamm/Sieg were surprised by a break-in. Two perpetrators broke down the front door and entered the sales room. Despite the destructive approach, fortunately nothing was stolen. After the crime, the perpetrators fled on foot in an unknown direction. The Altenkirchen police station is asking for information from witnesses who have noticed suspicious activity in order to solve the case, as stated in the report Rhine newspaper is to be read.

Independently of this incident, a series of property damage was reported in Altenkirchen, which took place on the night of October 28th to 29th. During this period, five cars were vandalized in a private parking lot in front of an apartment building.
