In the period from November 20th to 30th there were a total of three fires near a garden on Stralsunder Strasse. The suspect is now not only connected to these arsons, but is also the accused in 14 other cases such as damage to property and theft.
At the same time, the police also clarified the theft of town signs in Altentreptow nordkurier.de reported. Between September 20th and 22nd, eight of the city's nine place signs were stolen. Investigations led to the identification of four teenagers responsible for the theft. The act caused damage of around 1,500 euros because the signs had already been purchased new. The accused young people, aged between 17 and 19, demonstratively apologized to Mayor Claudia Ellgoth and brought a bouquet of flowers.
While the criminal police are closely monitoring the steady increase in crimes in the region, it remains to be seen what legal consequences the perpetrators will have to expect for their actions. Regardless of the youth's remorse, the public prosecutor's office will decide how to proceed with the results of the investigation.
