Excavator theft in Roßdorf: Investigations are underway after suspected robbery!

A brutal theft of construction machinery occurred in Roßdorf. Unknown perpetrators stole a yellow excavator manufactured by Komatsu from a construction site on Industriestrasse between December 10th and 12th. The value of the stolen device is tens of thousands of euros. The responsible police have started investigations and are asking for information that could lead to solving the crime. Witnesses are asked to call 06151 5 969 – 0 to report anything suspicious, as [Main-Echo] reported.

Another incident that brings safety on construction sites into focus occurred on Monday on Groß-Umstädter Straße. A 42-year-old driver had to avoid an oncoming vehicle and damaged a construction fence in the process. The vehicle being sought is described as a white small car, driven by a woman between 30 and 40 years old. A search is currently underway for this driver because she left the scene of the accident after the accident. The police are also asking for information on 06071 96560, as [Ask-a-Lawyer] reports.

In another dilapidated scene, a car was recently damaged by a construction fence when a wheel loader driver knocked it over while working. Although the vehicle owner was not on site, the damage to the car was significant due to the falling parts of the fence. The failed incident once again shows that safety around construction sites is a top priority and raises legal questions about liability and compensation, which has already led to an exchange with the responsible insurance company. There is now a need to clarify these damage matters, while at the same time deficits in occupational safety on construction sites are becoming visible.
