In a dramatic incident on September 29, 2024, a kebab stand in Vienna-Hietzing was the goal of a robbery. A 16-year-old perpetrator threatened an employee with a shotgun, while he was just the day's solution. Despite his threat, the perpetrator was overwhelmed by another employee and driven to flee. He left the shot gun at the crime scene and escaped towards the district house Hietzing. The rifle could be ensured by the police, but a first search was unsuccessful, as the Kurier reported.

After intensive investigations and a long search, the police managed to arrest the suspect they were looking for. On January 16, 2025, the adolescent was finally taken into custody.
