In a dramatic incident on September 29, 2024, a kebab stand in Vienna-Hietzing was the target of a robbery. A 16-year-old perpetrator threatened an employee with a blank gun while he was counting the daily lottery. Despite his threat, the perpetrator was overpowered by another employee and forced to flee. He left the blank pistol at the crime scene and escaped towards the Hietzing office building. The police were able to confiscate the rifle, but an initial search was unsuccessful courier reported.
