Viennese economy demands clear rules for a stable future!
In an urgent appeal, Walter Ruck, the President of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the need for clear and stable framework conditions for companies. At a time when Austria's economic data is anything but positive, Ruck from the new government demands that the sleeves roll up the sleeves and take immediate measures in order to give the economy fresh impulses. "Companies need a framework in which they can move and develop. What they do not need is state conductor that naturally discriminates and inhibits it," says Ruck. This is particularly important because the EU space is the most important market for the Viennese companies, with 70 percent of exports that go to EU countries, which is about 22 billion euros, as it is in a publication of OTS reported.

Ruck is particularly critical of the rapidly increasing budget deficit, which has risen up to 3.7 percent after the National Council elections. "The expenditure must follow the income and not vice versa. This principle must also apply to future decision-makers in politics," explains the WKW President. He also calls for a closer look at state services, in particular those that are financed by corporate taxes, such as the family load compensation funds. "I don't see any revenue problem if the tax and tax rate is over 40 percent," he continues. Ruck makes it clear that the Viennese economy, which is better in comparison to the rest of the country, would significantly benefit from the reduction of bureaucratic hurdles, as the EU Commission sought, which is also confirmed by Wirtschaftsbund Vienna
