In a spectacular turn, the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, apparently reached an agreement with the former US President Donald Trump. According to reports, the company is willing to pay around ten million dollars to enclose a legal dispute that results from the blocking of Trump's user account after the attack on the US capitol in January 2021. This information was confirmed by Wall Street Journal . This means that X is the second platform next to Facebook mother Meta, which has assured the former president compensation. Meta had already announced in January to pay $ 25 million to settle a similar conflict.

Trump filed a lawsuit against the big platforms Twitter, Facebook and Alphabet. He claimed that his conservative views were illegally censored.
