Mariahilfer District Budget 2025: Online insight and say
From Monday, October 28th, the residents of Mariahilf have the opportunity to find out more about the design of the district budget for 2025. By November 11th, you can hand in online on the platform mariahilf.wien.gv.at your opinions and suggestions for the draft. According to district head Markus Rumelhart (SPÖ), the planned amounts have not yet been carved into stone and it is possible to consult the citizens and take their suggestions into account.
A total of 10,589,300 euros were planned for the budget. An essential part of this sum is used for the compulsory schools in the district. In the previous year it was around five million euros that were planned for the general renovation and improvements in schools. Particularly noteworthy is the Spalowskygasse district school, which receives a comprehensive renovation. These measures include not only the building itself, but also the design of the surroundings in order to create a child -friendly and appealing learning environment.
focus on education and leisure
Another important point in the budget is the changeover of the Corneliusgasse elementary school to all -day operation. This should offer the students improved afternoon care. At the same time, attention is paid to improving leisure opportunities in the parks. For example, it is planned to set up new fitness equipment in the Alfred Grünwald Park, which serves not only fitness, but also for community promotion.
In addition to the investments in schools and parks, the redesign of Gumpendorfer Straße is on the agenda. This measure will be based on the results of a previous citizen participation process to ensure that the needs of the residents flow into the planning. The budget also includes the maintenance of parks, streets, day -to -day homes and the promotion of art and culture in the district.
The final decision on the budget is made at the district council meeting on December 12th. The district head emphasizes that further funding must be incorporated into the draft in order to ensure a comprehensive set of projects for 2025.
