The renovation has not yet been completed. The second part of the work, which also affects the building at Wilhelm-Kress-Platz 29-30, comprises 622 other apartments and is expected to be completed by the end of 2028. The city of Vienna is investing a total of 100 million euros in the entire project. Not only new elevators and attic apartments are created, but also additional living space, there are a total of 12,700 square meters.

These measures show how thermal-energetic improvements and careful densification in urban planning can be combined sensibly. Vice Mayor and Councilor Kathrin Gaál (SPÖ) emphasizes the importance of the renovation programs for the Viennese municipal buildings and emphasizes that this creates additional affordable living space.
