Nevertheless, all newly purchased vehicles are equipped with air conditioning as standard.

Currently all buses are air -conditioned, so that every trip is pleasantly cool. Every second is already air-conditioned on the subway journeys; The U6 subway line, which is now fully air-conditioned, is particularly positive. This was modernized by investing in the cooling of the older trains, which were equipped with new air conditioners and sun protection films in order to significantly reduce the temperature.
The subway V trains on lines U1 to U4 are also fully air-conditioned. Older models, such as the silver arrows, have to be replaced gradually by new X-cars. However, air conditioning is still under construction for the trams; A little more is currently air -conditioned than every second trip. The supplementary plan includes the commissioning of 146 new Flexity sets by 2026, all of which will be equipped with air conditioning.

The air conditioning systems in the Viennese publications work automatically and without the influence of the travelers on the temperature control. They activate at outside temperatures from 24 ° C.
